Scalp Acne
This skin condition is often known as scalp folliculitis; it’s an inflammatory problem involving the hair follicles in the scalp. Scalp acne is identified by little pustules inside the scalp that are extremely itchy and usually very annoying on the front side of the hairline. There may exist just a few lesions or there can be many of them. They are difficult to ignore when they make you feel itchy. Most of the time they grow sore and even hard.
The causes of scalp acne are yet not completely understood. However, it is seen as an inflammatory response to parts of the hair follicle such as micro organisms; micro organisms consist of mites, yeasts, and bacteria.
Breakouts on the scalp can easily be treated as you would treat other breakouts on your body.
You may use a cleanser Put some of this on a cotton ball and only apply it on the affected area. Keep in mind that the majority of such cleansers will dry your hair quite thoroughly; that is why it’s a good idea to stay close to the affected area and to thoroughly rinse the cleanser.
You can wash the scalp with a normal shampoo that’s mild as frequently as you like. Antidandruff shampoos that uses antifungal agents like ciclopirox or ketoconazole can be helpful. You can also use a conditioner.
It’s vital to understand that you do not want to use acne treating products with ingredients like peroxide or benzoil peroxide on your scalp since you run the risk of suffering discoloration of your hair. This is especially more important if your hair has been color or chemically treated.
Itchy Scalp Causes
When you are suffering from an itchy scalp, it is important to know the itchy scalp causes and treatment. You may think that it could be dry skin, but mind you, it could be more of a serious skin condition.
Itchy Scalp Treatment
An itchy scalp can be a matter of great annoyance for the sufferer. Scratching your head might give you temporary relief but it may also aggravate the problem. Here are some of the itchy scalp remedies and treatment which you can follow at home.
Step 1
It is your duty to see that your hair is clean with no build up of oils and dirt since these can clog pores and make your scalp itchy. Use a good shampoo with a ph balance of 4.5 to 5.5 that help to keep your skin moisturized.
Step 2
Check your hair products. Your itchy scalp might also be due to an allergic reaction to a shampoo, conditioner or other hair products. If you are using a new product it could happen that it might have irritated your skin. It is also possible that your could have developed a reaction to an old product.
Step 3
To prevent hair dandruff you can add a few drops of tea tree oil and shampoo as usual. You can also cider vinegar after you have shampooed your hair with a natural shampoo. Or else you can simply treat it with over the counter shampoos meant for dandruff.
Step 4
If you do not see any of the live lice, but just nits, there is no need to treat with a head lice shampoo. You might ask if there is live louse where did the nits come from. Yes, nits are the eggs of a female adult louse but might have already died or inadvertently removed. So try to remove the remaining lice and see what happens. If you see that the nits are still growing in its number, it is certain that live lice are still dwelling in your child’s hair. You can wash your child’s clothing and bedding in hot water and use a vacuum to clean furniture, carpets, stuffed animals etc. which again might be home to lice.

Because if not treated properly, they may spread to other parts of the body. Follow a healthy diet, avoid scratching your scalp if it itches cause it may lead to cuts and scraps and try to keep out of stress.
