Homemade face masks for acne are made from materials easily available at your home. Since, they are made with natural products, they are absolutely free from side-effects. Their regular usage removes acne and brings a natural radiance to your skin.

Natural Homemade Acne Masks

Here are some great homemade face mask for acne. Acne masks can be very different and contain different components, but all of them work on the principle: parch skin, move away a skin oil redundancy and confine pores.

All masks should be applied on a clear skin. It is also useful to have a steam bath and to make an additional skin clearance with any soft scrub. Always remember to give a cold water rinse, because the pores which get opened by warm water will get contracted if you rinse off with cold water. You may also prefer ice-cube.

Acne Removal Lotion

Mix 1 teaspoon glycerin, 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 cup distilled water, 1/2 teaspoon camphor lotion. Apply this mixture on the face and leave it to dry. Then wash off with lukewarm water. Finally use cold water or an ice-cube as an antasthenic.

Apple and Honey Mask

For oily skin with acne problem. Mix one small ground apple with 5 tablespoons of honey. Gently apply on the face and neck, wait for 10 minutes. Wash it off with cool water. You may add some oatmeal into this mixture to enhance an effect.

Homemade Acne Mask with Cucumber

Crush half a cucumber in rose water which in amount that would be suitable for making a smooth paste. Stir this mixture properly and apply it on the face generously. Leave it on for 20 minutes then wash it off with cold water. This is one of the acne homemade masks that show quick relief from acne.

Homemade Acne Mask with Baking Soda

Wash your face with a cleanser. Then mix some baking soda (not baking powder) in a bowl. Apply this mixture evenly all over the face. Let it dry while you just rest or do some household chores. Once the mixture has dried rinse it off with water. Feel the soft, refreshed feel of your skin. What more? This homemade mask for acne is just as simple as it is effective. Apply this mask 3 times a week.

Homemade Acne Mask with Carrot

Take 500 grams of carrot. Clean it and crush it. Mix it with 5 grams of flour. Apply this mixture on the face once every 2 days. In case the paste is too sticky add less of flour or add a little rosewater to it. Let this paste remain on the face for 10 minutes then wash it off with cold water. This acne homemade facial mask works wonders for removing scars and reducing wrinkles as well.

Dry Basil Leaves Face Mask for Acne

This face mask is also called acne tonic basil mask. To make it, take 10-12 tablespoons of dry basil leaves powder. Soak it in water for 2 hours. Apply it on the face and let it sit there for about 20-30 minutes. Remove it with warm water. Lay a wet hand towel on your face for 10 minutes. Use this dry basil leaves face mask once in a week.

Yogurt for Treating Acne

This is quite common way of treating acne and we can use yogurt orally by consuming it or topically by applying the yogurt mask on our face. Both ways are highly efficient and combining them will result in even better effect. By consuming it orally you supply your body with vital nutrients that help your immune system and skin health. Some kinds of bacteria are very vulnerable to high acidic pH and eventually get destroyed. That is why yogurt’s acidic character kills a whole range of bacteria which includes propioni bacteria and some other bacteria that is harmful for your skin and body. By applying the yogurt topically your pores get unplugged and acne scars reduced.

Now when you know which are the three easiest and most commonly used homemade acne remedies you can start treating acne on your own. Of course there is no guarantee that you will succeed in complete acne reduction but home remedies can serve as a supplement to your existing acne treatment.

There are many other ways of making remedy at home and normally one has to try several solutions before the desired result is achieved. And remember, sometimes when you want to find the proper solution you have to be patient and persistent.
